Hello, and welcome to Hope & Healing Peer Support.
I'm Shannon, founder of Hope & Healing Peer Support. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
I started Hope & Healing Peer Support because I have a passion for helping others find hope during life's most difficult moments. After experiencing God's faithfulness in my own life, I felt called to encourage others through compassionate, faith-integrated peer support. I know how important it is to have someone who will truly listen, offer encouragement, and remind you that you don't have to face life's challenges alone. Everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported.
As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, I combine professional training with lived experience to provide compassionate, person-centered support. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you identify your strengths, build confidence, and move toward the life you desire. I believe each person has unique gifts, purpose, and God-given potential, and sometimes all it takes is having someone in your corner to help you recognize it.
My Christian faith is the foundation of my life and the inspiration behind Hope & Healing Peer Support. I believe God is the ultimate source of hope and healing. Sometimes He brings healing overnight, and sometimes He leads us through a season of growth, strength, and restoration one step at a time. No matter what that season looks like, I believe no one has to walk it alone.
Hope & Healing Peer Support is faith-integrated, which means I welcome conversations about faith for those who desire them while always respecting each person's beliefs, background, and comfort level. Whether faith is an important part of your life or you're simply looking for compassionate support, you will be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
When I'm not working with clients, you'll most likely find me spending time with my husband, our seven children, and our eight wonderful grandchildren. Family is one of God's greatest blessings in my life, and I cherish every opportunity to make memories with them.
I grew up in Southern Oregon, where I developed a deep appreciation for faith, family, and community. Those values continue to shape who I am today and influence the compassionate, person-centered support I provide.
I'm also actively involved in my church and enjoy officiating high school volleyball and club volleyball for athletes of all ages. Officiating has strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate with respect, make fair and thoughtful decisions, and encourage others with integrity—qualities I also bring to my work as a Certified Peer Support Specialist.
It would be an honor to walk alongside you, offering encouragement, hope, and support as you seek the hope, healing, and peace that God desires for your life.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
— Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
